Living in Boca Raton is like living in a small town but here you will find one of the most gated neighborhoods which count extravagantly wealth people as their residents. The top three in the Forbes List of Most Expensive Communities in the U.S are found in Boca Raton. Boca Raton is also home to some of the most appalling beaches in Florida.

- Other commercial and industrial facilities
Many Facilities Managers recommend epoxy flooring because of its durability, long life span, provides safety, resistance to a lot of substances as well as to impact and abrasion. More importance to these managers is the fact that epoxy flooring is easy to clean and maintain.
To gain all the benefits of epoxy flooring, the system needs to have a successful installation. The key to a successful installation is the properly adhesion of the epoxy material (resin Plus hardener) to the concrete surface.
Floors in commercial establishments need to be attractive, durable and affordable. Epoxy flooring is ideal for commercial establishments because it protects the concrete surface from damage due to high foot and vehicle traffic, not to mention its high aesthetic appeal.
Commercial establishments can benefit from epoxy flooring
- Seamless flooring that is easy to clean and maintain because dust and debris have to place to hide.
- High aesthetic appeal.
- Highly affordable.

- Resistant to moisture and stains
- Can withstand high foot traffic
- Easy to sanitize.
- Long lasting
Industrial facilities have extremely demanding flooring requirements. Epoxy flooring can handle these demands without breaking down while continuing to be safe through is anti-slip properties. Epoxy flooring can also be anti-static and anti-heat to fit the unique needs of your facility.
Epoxy flooring is a combination of resins and hardeners that react chemical when mix to create a material that bond well with the concrete surface. As epoxy cures it will provide a hard wearing flooring system that can withstand chemical and mechanical stress. Epoxy also transforms the concrete surface into a non-porous surface that is easy to clean and maintain.
Epoxy Flooring Installation Process
Epoxy flooring is fast and quick to install. The installation process will have minimal effect on the day to day operations of your commercial and industrial establishment.
While epoxy flooring installation can be a DYI project, having professional epoxy installer do the job will ensure a successful installation free of all possible after-installation issues such as bubbling, peeling and the like.
- Concrete Surface Preparation
Everything in the area needs to be removes. Once installers can access the area, they will sweep, clean, grind the concrete surface with a diamond grinder to get rid of all contaminants (dust, dirt, existing glues, sealers, grease oil). This is to ensure that the epoxy material will adhere well to the concrete surface.
- Application of Primer
This step can be time consuming but it will ensure that concrete surface is clean and ready for the application of the epoxy material.
- Mixing of the Epoxy Material
The resin and hardener needs to be thoroughly mixed with a mixing paddle. Some installers attach the mixing paddle to a high-speed drill for faster and thorough mixing. It is important to note that once mixed, the epoxy material has a 30 minute bucket life. This means that the epoxy material must be applied on the concrete surface within such time.
- Epoxy Application
Epoxies are applied section by section with the cross-rolling method. This is to ensure the epoxy material is evenly spread across the floor. Epoxy is often applied in two coats to ensure a good coverage with at least 2 millimeters in thickness. The more coats applied, the more long lasting the epoxy flooring system.
Epoxy flooring will usually cure within 24 to 36 hours depending on the material and the temperature in the area. It is important that no one steps on the new floor during the curing period.
Epoxy flooring installation is fast and quick. The most important step is the proper preparation of the concrete surface. An unsuccessful epoxy flooring installation is marred with bubbling and peeling issues. These happen when moisture and the concrete surface not properly prepared prior to epoxy flooring installation.
